The Night That Never Ends

We continue our life.  We go day in and day out.  The stars, the stars guide us all.  They stayed there when we were young and free, and when all the weight of the world is upon our shoulders.  Yet some nights, some days, some seasons never seem to just...end.

It keeps going.  It keeps repeating.  Memories.  Memories hold us together yet holds us back.  Where do we live?  Where do we stay?  Do our thoughts hold us back from allowing the sun to set?  Do our actions face the morrow?  Are we stuck?  Each day is a gift so they say, yet we waste it away.  Afraid to move forward we stay in the comfort of the day.  The season. The night.  This night.  It seems to never end.  Oh to be young again.  Care free.  Oh to live in the past!  The sweet memorial moments of preexisting days.  Yet those who live in the past, those who live in the one chapter of the book of life.  Why do they stay?  Do they not know more is to come?  Do they not know that there is more to experience?  Memories shape who we are, what we do.  Experiences show us the path we do and do not want to walk on.  Yet they are not the end.  They don't end there.  The road is moving forward not behind.  Go.  Go onwards to the places unseen.  No matter how much is explored on this green earth, nobody has explored tomorrow.  The question is where do you live?  Do you end the night of the past and wish to experience that again?  Do you think upon what tomorrow holds; the unforeseen mysteries that baffle anyone who would dare explore it?   Do you read on or reread chapter 1?  Do you set the scene or see it through?  Love life.  Move on.  Let the night past.  Give it up.  The day will end whether good or bad to you.  Tomorrow will come, the question is, will you be there, or in the bank of your everlasting memories?  Share the sunrise with someone special.  Share food, share stories.  Share the day and make new memories of the past.  Don't stay at the night that never ends, but let life move on: whether for good or bad.
